I did my Christmas card using Studio J. It only took me about 30 minutes to upload the pictures and put it all together. Then I paid the $3.95 fee to buy a jpg... no shipping fees, etc. After a few minutes they sent me the jpg via e-mail and I put it on a flash drive and headed to the photo department at my local grocery store, where a nice young man put the two pages together and printed it in a 4x8 size. A few little edges got cropped, but overall it came together quite well. So fun to use CTMH Studio J to create with!!!!! Here it is:

Here are the Babycakes layouts for January. Babycakes has been everyone's favorite paper kit this catalog run and so we are excited to finally get to it right before this catalog is done. Jen tried to make it generic enough so that if you don't have baby photos to scrapbook...no problem. You can make this baby themed by using the stamps shown, or I will have another title and stamp so it can be whatever theme works for you. If you flip one of the background pages over there are very cute giraffes so you can even make these more baby-ish if you would like. So many options.
Here is another option. In January you can do Frosted AND/OR Babycakes. Not too late to even choose both. Look at my previous post to see the Frosted Layouts and cards. It will be a fun time after the holiday rush. Here is the schedule:
Tuesday, January 14th: Evening class at 7:00 at my home
Wednesday, January 15th: Evening class at 5:35 in Mapleton
Thursday, January 16th: Day time class at 12:30 at my home
Cost: $20 for layouts only and add $1 for the cards. I will have everything pre-cut and ready to assemble.
For you gals in the Card-makers only category: We will do the Frosted cards in January and the Babycakes cards in February. Same schedule. Cost: $10 for 8 cards.
Frosted Layouts that you can do in January............ (or some of you have these kits already)................ Cost: Same as usual. Pictures...hopefully you could see that the pages are such a lovely shade of blues and grey and sand. Click on them to see them bigger for a better view. These are the cards for the January Classes.
You can also choose the babycakes paper packet...see other post.

Sparkle and Shine Scrapbooking Kit
So for those of you who come to my classes or are on my long distance shipping list... you know that I have you pay in advance and then I have the paper cut and ready for you to put the pages together. This is one of those months that you can buy 2 layouts. Then if you want to put them together in Dec, Jan or Feb...no problem they are paid for and ready for you. You could even do them as homework at your own personal crop. If we get enough orders I could add an extra class and you can come twice. I am concerned that if you wait, they will run out of paper, etc. And we know you will want to do these pages, so let me know as soon as possible so I can order for you.
There is a special running right now that with a $100 order you can actually get the paper pack FREE, thus your kit is less than usual... heehee. Do you want this for a Christmas gift under your tree? No problem. Have your parents, spouse, friend, sibling or whoever contact me and we will take care of it.
Usually we limit our kits to 1 accessory pack, but this one actually contains 2, thus changing my usual price point. Both accessories are SO GREAT!!!!!! So there are a couple of options:
* for the two layouts as is with the dimensional elements and sparkle flourishes, the cost is $25. If you would like to do the bonus cards also, it is only $1 more...so $26.
* For the two layouts as is with the dimensional elements and NO sparkle flourishes, the cost is $19. Add $1 for cards here too to take it up to $20. The sparkle flourishes are beautiful and I know you can't see them in the photo all that well, but they really add a great touch and are so festive.
Hope to hear from you soon!!!!

Plates
So... I have been a consultant with CTMH for 21 years. Yes....21. My hope is to still be with them for another 15 at least. What does this have to do with plates? Well, back when I started doing this I attended conventions and one of the classes was on making plates using our stamps. Actually you just stamp on a tissue and send the tissues to a company and they form a plate around the tissue with your artwork showing through. Well, I found that lots of people liked doing these as gifts so every few years or so we get together and have a great time stamping plates. I have 2 sets of plates for my family of 8. Here is a photo of the two I did for me and Sam's. When the kids were younger we used them as an indication as to where the kids were to sit. Now we don't care whose plate we use. Some people do a Happy Birthday Plate or a You Are Special Plate or a Cookies for Santa Plate.
Anyway, this is one workshop that I do that I really don't earn any money doing. You can come and use my stamps and inks and create and then we send them in. It helps to get several plates processed at once as the shipping starts out at $10 for only one plate. It is also $10 for 20, so you can see by the math that it is better to combine our efforts. I can't give you an exact price quote yet...it depends on how many plates we do. I am guessing that the cost per plate will be between 6-7 dollars/plate... I don't know how much the company has changed their prices since we ordered last.
So...if you are interested in doing some plates, e-mail me and let me know about how many you would want to do. We will try to figure out a time to get together and have some stamping fun. If you have stamps, etc. and want to get your tissue stamped at your home and your convenience, that is totally fine too.

Grateful for some beautiful Fall weather this week!!!!!
I have a lot to be grateful for and right now this weather is making me so happy. Cool evenings...yes, but the days are in the 60's and fine and beautiful. We started off fall with some cold and miserable slap-in-the face winter-is-here type days. So now I can be extra grateful for the beauty. Just wasn't ready for winter in September. Another thing I am grateful for...fun times in Idaho and at the CTMH album retreat. Grateful for a great class at work to work with. I could go on, but it is time to get this post up so people can see the great Huntington Fall layouts. Remember back when people were draped with color swatches to determine your season? Well, I am an "autumn" so maybe I am even more especially drawn to these colors than all you winters out there. But I LOVE them. Perfect for any fall photos you have going.... Thanksgiving, playing in the leaves, rustic cabin photos, nature, garden, etc. etc. I know you don't get the newsletter until the classes are about here, but don't hesitate to sign up...I have some extra paper kits and will be happy to have you participate. Then in December we will be doing the pages and cards using the Frosted paper pack and the bonus Christmas layouts can be done either in December or January...so budget up for doing 2 kits one of these months.
Cost of the Huntington Kit: $21 with the 2 layouts and 4 cards
I have everything precut for your scrapbooking pleasure...
(not interested in doing the cards? no problem...only $20 for the layouts.
Cards only: 8 cards (2 of each design) are only $10
Oh and guess what...card crafting is making a new come-back. For many of us, it never went anywhere, but it is good to know that the rest of the people are catching on again. Sweet!!!!
Dates we will be having our CREATIVE CLASS:
November 12, Here at my home in Orem at 6:00
November 13, Down south in Mapleton at 5:30ish
November 14, At my home again in Orem at 12:30 in the afternoon
Here is the photo. We did add some mats with colonial white on the 2nd layout to brighten it up a bit. We will be using Desert Sand and Barn Red ink and sponges to do the edges. Looking forward to good times in November.

Laughing Lola: October Groups
Wow, September flew by and October is already here and newsletters are going out and hey, my blog isn't really updated yet. What happened to last month? Not sure except that...Fall hit. I am really hoping some new or former people will want to do these pages and cards because they are interesting and beautiful and have great colors, etc. So please if you have thought "I ought to do this..." now is a great time to change it to "I am going to do this...now"
Here are the pictures...same as in the newsletter.
I have changed the lower layout title to be "You are amazing". Wanted to use the Workshop on the Go stamp set. Love playing with the paisleys and the very cute circle flowers and hey...I am still loving the notebook page on layout 1 with the cute cricut cut and stamp from our new Artbooking cricut cartridge. Very tempting to put that on every layout. I know these are not your typical Halloween October fare, so you are on your own to do Halloween pages this time. Several consultants have used these papers for Halloween and Jen came up with a cute little decoration. The base is actually only 12 inches so it is a mini...but so VERY fun and cute. I have a ccr file for anyone who has the Artbooking cartridge and would like it.
We will be using slate ink to sponge edges if anyone wants to bring their own sponge and ink pads. I love how slate adds that soft edging with a little softer look than black.
Cost of class: $20 with only the layouts and $21 to add the cards in
Cards only: (2 of each for a total of 8 cards) $10
DATES we will meet: Tuesday October 8, 6:00 my home
Wednesday October 9, 5:30 Mapleton
Thursday October 10, 12:30 my home
See you soon!

Sarita Class Details
September Creative Classes are right around the corner and the Sarita pages are as fresh and innovative as ever. I am loving all the paper in the new catalog and even if one side of the pattern paper is not something that grabs me, the other side is. Such versatile and beautiful paper with the cardstock to match is part of the reason why these kits are such a great value. I will be having classes during the 2nd week in September on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday:...so join us creating this month.
Tuesday, September 10: 6:00 at my home in Orem
Wednesday, September 11: 5:30 at Peggy's home in Mapleton
Thursday, September 12: 12:30 at my home in Orem
Cost for pages. Had to be a little creative this time. So it is the same price as usual, $20 without the cards and $21 with the cards. However this does not include the flip flaps. (Z1395 $4.95 plus t&s) Everyone is buying them in addition to the class, because well they are an extra item. And you get 8 of them in a variety of widths but only use 2 of the 6x12 inch flaps. So there are extras for other projects later. Two people can easily share a pack of flip flaps too and that is a great option. So fun to get this product into your hands because you will want to use them all the time. I love the photo-size flip flaps too and often add extra photos that way too. This is a product that almost always sells out when we have them at the expo. Weird not getting ready for expo right now since there isn't a fall expo. Can't wait for the Spring expo.
Please let me know as soon as you can if you would like to participate in September classes. See the photo in the last post.

CREATIVE CLASS Surf's Up/ NEW Catalogs & Cricut Cart.
August Creative Class = Surf's Up
Not that you need to be a surfer to use these beautiful layouts and cards. I am excited to offer these 4 great pages and cards for only $21. If you are only doing pages the cost comes to $20. We displayed these pages at expo and other events and it is fun to watch people stop in their tracks to see these layouts and tell us that they love the colors, etc. etc. I know August is a crazy busy time, so if the class schedule just won't work for you and you want to do these layouts, let me know and I can do a kit for you and you can pre-pay for it and come do it another time. Also don't forget the option to have a kit mailed to you for only $6 more.
Class Schedule for August::
Tuesday evening August 13th at 6:00 at my home in Orem
Thursday afternoon August 15th at 12:30 at my home in Orem (no evening class...a wedding to go to)
Wednesday evening August 20th at 5:30 at Mapleton
Don't forget if you don't scrapbook, you can do 2 sets of the cards for only $10. Great to give a set away as a gift and use the others.
**Make sure to double check the PayPal cart for correct item and quantity upon check out.
I have new catalogs available and ready to give to my class attendees. In addition to the catalog there will be a special Christmas Supplement to order from that will be available in the fall. There is a new cricut cartridge and if you want to get in on the group order so that you get a discount and a free paper pack just let me know. I have to put you into groups to take advantage of the hostess rewards and it is a great deal. So call me or e-mail me soon. Again, this cartridge is packed and has a great variety and so many options. The 3 stamp sets that come with it are my favorite.
They just keep giving us more and we love it! We will do some of these cricut specials in August because the stamp of the month is FREEEEEE this month with a $50 order, so that sweetens the chocolate pot. Here is a flyer showing the Stamp of the month for August. I think we can all relate to this one for some reason.

There is nothing like the bright yellow sunshine of summer...until you add in the other two primary colors of red and blue...this great combination makes for lots of summer paper fun this month. The pages and cards we are doing in July feature the Tommy paper pack and there are so many creative options. (There is one design of the patterned paper that has a more nautical feel with anchors, etc. If you aren't into that, you can use the opposite side which is a blue and gold diagonal stripe..) Many people have used this paper selection for patriotic and fathers day. With the desert sand cardstock as a base on the pages you really can do pretty much any beach scene with these layouts. (save some of your photos for the surf's up layouts in August though...I love those pages... pictured below.)
The canvas shapes are a great accent to these Tommy pages.
For our Creative Class schedule I am pushing things to the end of the month because of holidays, etc. So this is the plan:
Thursday, July 25 I will do 2 classes....12:30 and again at 6:30 at my home in Orem
Tuesday, July 30 I will start at 5:30 (at this time it looks like we might be doing this class in
Mapleton...will have to update this as it gets closer)
Cost: $21 if you do the 4 pages and 4 cards OR $20 if you choose only to do the pages (no cards)
Because I have July and August classes pretty close together, I am posting the pictures for both classes. So here are the August Surf's Up layout and cards. Same cost.
July also marks the end of the spring catalog. I will be getting the new catalogs soon and I am so excited to work with the new paper, etc. for our classes in the fall. Design time already. Can't wait.

Just thought I would show off one of the Studio J layouts I just submitted. (Thanks to Brett's dad for getting me a bunch of great photos of my son.) I LOVE that we can now add photo wells and drop in as may photos as we want and whatever size we want. Our great digital scrapbooking program just got 100% better.
Hmmm...guess I will add the one of Prom too. A few months ago I wouldn't have been able to add in the group pictures on the top and bottom. Love taking their designs and customizing my pages.

SUMMER CREATIVE CLASSES...
A new month is here and there are new MyReflection Paper packets to play with. I love putting last month's layouts and supplies and stamps away and getting out the next. I also have had a lot of fun this month putting pictures on all my kits from the last year. I have to emphasize that I LOVE scrapbooking. Whether it is Studio J digital or classic paper and photos. It is definitely my happy place.
So what's happening in JUNE???? It is the only month during this catalog run that we offer the choice of two different kits. Some people have signed up only for the "boy" kit and some for only the "girl" kit and many people will do two kits this month. I am happy that school will be out and I will have extra time to get things ready for you. If you are ONLY doing CARDS we will be doing 4 cards using Claire and 4 cards using Sk8er. 4 designs and 2 each.
Here are your options: Later Sk8er (which can of course be used for girls too, but it is great to have cool boy pages. And I realized while designing these layouts that gears are pretty fun to play with...sort of like arranging flowers on a girl page...)
AND/OR Claire

Sign up for June's classes for the following times and places:
Tuesday, June 11th Start time 6:30 at my home
Wednesday, June 12th at 5:30 in Mapleton
Thursday, June 13th at 12:30 at my home (can do that evening if anyone needs to)
Live too far away to come to my class... No problem! I ship kits to customers so they can put their pages together on their own. Extra shipping cost $6
Same low price as usual: $20 for 4 pages, add in the 4 cards for only $1 more ($21) and for the (not a scrapbooker) Card workshop $10
If your choose to do both kits, just plan on $40 for 8 pages and $42 to add in both sets of cards.
Have a great start to your summer! It will fly by all too soon, so I plan on enjoying every minute.

Here is one of the layouts for the May Creative Class. (color is a bit off...sorry) Try to visualize it with your pictures...each of the white blocks are just saving a spot for an un-matted photo. (It fits the latest trend and will look great with photos there, it is just hard to show a page without a marker for the photos.) I love the For Always paper packet with its black and white on the slate grey paper. One of the techniques we will be doing includes making flowers out of our new textile fabric that goes with this paper kit. So cute. Also on this second layout the big floral pieces have the chevron print on the other side and you can pick what pattern you want to use.
I am looking forward to May's classes and getting ready to order supplies. I do a majority of my cutting quite early, so don't delay signing up. If you sign up at least a few days ahead, I can have your kits ready. Don't forget about the mailing option for you out-of-towners (Extra shipping to send kits to you will be charged.)
Here is the schedule for May:
Tuesday May 7th: Start time between 5:30 and 7:00 at my home in OREM
Thursday May 9th at 12:30
Thursday May 9th at 7:00
Tuesday, May 14th at 5:30 in MAPLETON, UT ******* New time and location *************
What will we be doing at these classes and how much do they cost?
Here are your options...
2 2-page layouts and 4 cards ($21)
OR
2 2-page layouts without the cards ($20)
OR
8 card workshop (2 each of 4 designs) ($10)
These are the 4 cards we will do with the pages. If you do the card workshop, some of the cards will be similar but there will be a window card instead of one these. My customers have been happy with how I customize their kits for them.

April is here and this is the creative class for April. It was fun to work with this paper and then I started seeing cute clothes in the mall on display that would match perfectly. So get your pink on and join the April Creative class coming up sooooo soon. These pages are great for Easter or Spring rain storms, etc. And the cost is only $21 for the pages and cards pictured. If you don't live near me and want me to mail you a kit, just let me know (extra shipping cost will apply).
CLASSES: I am actually taking advantage of the time off work for spring break and doing the first class during the day on Thursday April 4th at 12:30. Next session: April 9th ... show up anytime between 5 and 7 and get started. Then if anyone needs a Thursday evening I am keeping April 11th open if anyone wants to come that evening. For the card maker/non-scrapbookers, we will be using my extra kits from my expo class...
We had a good time doing our expo booth. We were happy to have so many people sign up and attend our card classes and do our CUTE make and take bunnies.. We were happy that we sold 38 out of the 40 cricut cartridges we bought to sell there. I am so glad I work with such great people and meet so many people that love the same thing that I love. There won't be as fall expo due to lack of big vendors and less people attend that expo. Sort of sad. But seeing so many people scrapbooking gives me lots of hope for our fun hobby. There were lots of people working away all day and into the night. We will be helping with a CTMH scrapbooking retreat in the fall, so tune in later for more info on that event.

Buzz and Bumble is the paper pack for March. It has great earthy colors and Diana added some blue to help your photos pop. Perfect for either masculine or feminine and lots of great details that won't show up much on the photo, but you will love in real life. So here is the photo...
I love the fun honey comb stamps on this one.
If you want to do these pages and/or cards let me know. I am working to cut paper for my expo class, so it isn't too late to join the fun for March. Cost is $20 (this includes the tax and shipping) Also if you do the pages and cards, the cost may be $1 more to cover the card bases. If you can't attend, but want to do these pages, I can cut and assemble your kit and send it to you with an additional shipping cost of about $6.
For the card makers...the cards will be very similar, but I usually change up a few things and the cost is only $10 for 8 cards.
I am considering doing a Friday night scrapbooking get together at least every other month in addition to my usual creative classes. I have room for 8 (4 per table) and I thought it would be fun to have an evening to get pictures on pages. No projects from me, just time and space together to create. So let me know if you are interested in attending something like this here in the Orem area. I miss my old page exchange group....
Here is the schedule for March:
Tuesday, March 12 start time anywhere between 5:00 and 7:00
Thursday, March 14 start time anywhere between 3:30 and 7:00 (not 12:30 this time)
NO SATURDAY AVAILABLE this month. Expo, baseball, etc....
Do you have a group of friends who would like to do my creative classes, but these times and place don't work. Let's talk and figure a time and place for me to come to your group.
STUDIO J. I am happy to help you get going with Studio J digital scrapbooking. I have a non-scrapbooking friend that is doing a memory album for her son's mission and is doing the whole thing with Studio J. I did a telephone tutorial with her and she is making great progress to finish the whole album in a month (to get the special discount $5/layout until March 15.) We talked on the phone and I walked her through the entire process with me at my computer and her at hers. It is a great program with lots of great features, that you could easily figure out on your own. However there are a few helps that I can give to make things go smoothly and quickly...and I really like helping. So if you would like your own telephone tutorial, I am here for you.
One thing I love about Studio J is that you can continue with your regular scrapbooking style and add pages throughout your book that are done with Studio J. They come back looking like regular scrapbook pages, except flat and you can put them right in your albums. I am currently working on a tribute album for my mother in law and her friends and family members from all over the country are uploading their photos onto my site. Then all I have to do is make the pages and add their sweet comments about her. I can tell the book is going to be a treasure. A few people are sending their tributes and photos via snail mail and I will make their pages in the traditional way and they will fit right in with the Studio J digital pages.

Clementine is the paper pack for February Creative Classes. It is the last of the fall catalog paper and then we are on to the next round of paper found in the new catalog. I am excited because I got to design our pages for the beautiful Chantilly paper kit for our team. Anyway, I have had a creative rush of pinks and yellow and blue. Next I started working on the Later Sk8ter pack which provided another batch of color to start swimming in my head. Love that feeling of having something come together creatively. It is very helpful that CTMH comes out with a great pallet of paper and accessories for us to start with.
Anyway, back to Clementine. If you got my newsletter (out on February 1) you saw one of the layouts. Now look at the photo here and see if you can see a difference...besides the fact that Jen took the photo of this one and she is an incredible photographer with a great camera....

So yeah...you can totally switch the pages around if you want to. It also looks pretty cool with the first page rotated so the flowers are on the top left hand corner. Lots of options. Just another beauty of CTMH layouts, which is a pretty fun function to play with on the Studio J scrapbooking site. Have you tried Studio J yet???? You need to if not, and February the cost is only $5 per layout. (Less than Costco and anywhere else.) I will be doing a bunch of Studio J layouts this month. Simply log in to my web page at marybeth.ctmh.com. Just do it! I think it is SO MUCH FUN!!!!!! Here is a copy of my Christmas Card I did using Studio J. I designed it in about 1 hour, bought the j.peg for only $2.95 and took a copy on a thumb drive to our local grocery store photo center and the gal behind the counter put it onto an 8x4 card in about 4 minutes. Sweet!
It does seem a little weird not to be making a bunch of valentines this February. I used to make up to 100 for all my kids classmates and now they don't need any. What? I will still make some for the students in the classroom that I work in and that will be fun. But it is a change in my life. Speaking of Valentines, the 2nd Thursday of the month when I usually do class is the 14th...and there are a lot of other options for people that day, so the schedule for the Clementine Classes for February are a bit different than usual.****
*****Thursday February 7th at 12:30 or again in the evening at 6-ish ****
Tuesday, February 12th at 6-ish (earlier or later is fine...everyone is together in the middle)
Saturday, February 9th or 23rd are both available if you want a Saturday morning slot...just let me know.
Cost is $19.50 for these pages and cards (I will be hiking prices all the way up to $20 from here on out... tired of always needing change and don't worry, you will get some extra sparkles, or paper or something for the extra .50)
Cost for the card workshop is only $10. The design is very similar to the ones in the picture...but we will be using the cottage flowers accessories instead. They are just so cute. You will make 2 of each design for a total of 8 cards. Oh and one of my customers slipped and told me that at Archiver's their classes are $25. But don't worry, I am not changing my prices for these classes. $10 is a nice even number and I am sticking to it...for now.
Remember that if you want to do my projects but don't live nearby. I am happy to ship thing to you so you can do it on your own. Not as much fun and a bit more $ for shipping, but you do get some great pages done.
