Here is one of the layouts for the May Creative Class. (color is a bit off...sorry) Try to visualize it with your pictures...each of the white blocks are just saving a spot for an un-matted photo. (It fits the latest trend and will look great with photos there, it is just hard to show a page without a marker for the photos.) I love the For Always paper packet with its black and white on the slate grey paper. One of the techniques we will be doing includes making flowers out of our new textile fabric that goes with this paper kit. So cute. Also on this second layout the big floral pieces have the chevron print on the other side and you can pick what pattern you want to use.
I am looking forward to May's classes and getting ready to order supplies. I do a majority of my cutting quite early, so don't delay signing up. If you sign up at least a few days ahead, I can have your kits ready. Don't forget about the mailing option for you out-of-towners (Extra shipping to send kits to you will be charged.)
Here is the schedule for May:
Tuesday May 7th: Start time between 5:30 and 7:00 at my home in OREM
Thursday May 9th at 12:30
Thursday May 9th at 7:00
Tuesday, May 14th at 5:30 in MAPLETON, UT ******* New time and location *************
What will we be doing at these classes and how much do they cost?
Here are your options...
2 2-page layouts and 4 cards ($21)
OR
2 2-page layouts without the cards ($20)
OR
8 card workshop (2 each of 4 designs) ($10)
These are the 4 cards we will do with the pages. If you do the card workshop, some of the cards will be similar but there will be a window card instead of one these. My customers have been happy with how I customize their kits for them.

April is here and this is the creative class for April. It was fun to work with this paper and then I started seeing cute clothes in the mall on display that would match perfectly. So get your pink on and join the April Creative class coming up sooooo soon. These pages are great for Easter or Spring rain storms, etc. And the cost is only $21 for the pages and cards pictured. If you don't live near me and want me to mail you a kit, just let me know (extra shipping cost will apply).
CLASSES: I am actually taking advantage of the time off work for spring break and doing the first class during the day on Thursday April 4th at 12:30. Next session: April 9th ... show up anytime between 5 and 7 and get started. Then if anyone needs a Thursday evening I am keeping April 11th open if anyone wants to come that evening. For the card maker/non-scrapbookers, we will be using my extra kits from my expo class...
We had a good time doing our expo booth. We were happy to have so many people sign up and attend our card classes and do our CUTE make and take bunnies.. We were happy that we sold 38 out of the 40 cricut cartridges we bought to sell there. I am so glad I work with such great people and meet so many people that love the same thing that I love. There won't be as fall expo due to lack of big vendors and less people attend that expo. Sort of sad. But seeing so many people scrapbooking gives me lots of hope for our fun hobby. There were lots of people working away all day and into the night. We will be helping with a CTMH scrapbooking retreat in the fall, so tune in later for more info on that event.

Buzz and Bumble is the paper pack for March. It has great earthy colors and Diana added some blue to help your photos pop. Perfect for either masculine or feminine and lots of great details that won't show up much on the photo, but you will love in real life. So here is the photo...
I love the fun honey comb stamps on this one.
If you want to do these pages and/or cards let me know. I am working to cut paper for my expo class, so it isn't too late to join the fun for March. Cost is $20 (this includes the tax and shipping) Also if you do the pages and cards, the cost may be $1 more to cover the card bases. If you can't attend, but want to do these pages, I can cut and assemble your kit and send it to you with an additional shipping cost of about $6.
For the card makers...the cards will be very similar, but I usually change up a few things and the cost is only $10 for 8 cards.
I am considering doing a Friday night scrapbooking get together at least every other month in addition to my usual creative classes. I have room for 8 (4 per table) and I thought it would be fun to have an evening to get pictures on pages. No projects from me, just time and space together to create. So let me know if you are interested in attending something like this here in the Orem area. I miss my old page exchange group....
Here is the schedule for March:
Tuesday, March 12 start time anywhere between 5:00 and 7:00
Thursday, March 14 start time anywhere between 3:30 and 7:00 (not 12:30 this time)
NO SATURDAY AVAILABLE this month. Expo, baseball, etc....
Do you have a group of friends who would like to do my creative classes, but these times and place don't work. Let's talk and figure a time and place for me to come to your group.
STUDIO J. I am happy to help you get going with Studio J digital scrapbooking. I have a non-scrapbooking friend that is doing a memory album for her son's mission and is doing the whole thing with Studio J. I did a telephone tutorial with her and she is making great progress to finish the whole album in a month (to get the special discount $5/layout until March 15.) We talked on the phone and I walked her through the entire process with me at my computer and her at hers. It is a great program with lots of great features, that you could easily figure out on your own. However there are a few helps that I can give to make things go smoothly and quickly...and I really like helping. So if you would like your own telephone tutorial, I am here for you.
One thing I love about Studio J is that you can continue with your regular scrapbooking style and add pages throughout your book that are done with Studio J. They come back looking like regular scrapbook pages, except flat and you can put them right in your albums. I am currently working on a tribute album for my mother in law and her friends and family members from all over the country are uploading their photos onto my site. Then all I have to do is make the pages and add their sweet comments about her. I can tell the book is going to be a treasure. A few people are sending their tributes and photos via snail mail and I will make their pages in the traditional way and they will fit right in with the Studio J digital pages.

Clementine is the paper pack for February Creative Classes. It is the last of the fall catalog paper and then we are on to the next round of paper found in the new catalog. I am excited because I got to design our pages for the beautiful Chantilly paper kit for our team. Anyway, I have had a creative rush of pinks and yellow and blue. Next I started working on the Later Sk8ter pack which provided another batch of color to start swimming in my head. Love that feeling of having something come together creatively. It is very helpful that CTMH comes out with a great pallet of paper and accessories for us to start with.
Anyway, back to Clementine. If you got my newsletter (out on February 1) you saw one of the layouts. Now look at the photo here and see if you can see a difference...besides the fact that Jen took the photo of this one and she is an incredible photographer with a great camera....

So yeah...you can totally switch the pages around if you want to. It also looks pretty cool with the first page rotated so the flowers are on the top left hand corner. Lots of options. Just another beauty of CTMH layouts, which is a pretty fun function to play with on the Studio J scrapbooking site. Have you tried Studio J yet???? You need to if not, and February the cost is only $5 per layout. (Less than Costco and anywhere else.) I will be doing a bunch of Studio J layouts this month. Simply log in to my web page at marybeth.ctmh.com. Just do it! I think it is SO MUCH FUN!!!!!! Here is a copy of my Christmas Card I did using Studio J. I designed it in about 1 hour, bought the j.peg for only $2.95 and took a copy on a thumb drive to our local grocery store photo center and the gal behind the counter put it onto an 8x4 card in about 4 minutes. Sweet!
It does seem a little weird not to be making a bunch of valentines this February. I used to make up to 100 for all my kids classmates and now they don't need any. What? I will still make some for the students in the classroom that I work in and that will be fun. But it is a change in my life. Speaking of Valentines, the 2nd Thursday of the month when I usually do class is the 14th...and there are a lot of other options for people that day, so the schedule for the Clementine Classes for February are a bit different than usual.****
*****Thursday February 7th at 12:30 or again in the evening at 6-ish ****
Tuesday, February 12th at 6-ish (earlier or later is fine...everyone is together in the middle)
Saturday, February 9th or 23rd are both available if you want a Saturday morning slot...just let me know.
Cost is $19.50 for these pages and cards (I will be hiking prices all the way up to $20 from here on out... tired of always needing change and don't worry, you will get some extra sparkles, or paper or something for the extra .50)
Cost for the card workshop is only $10. The design is very similar to the ones in the picture...but we will be using the cottage flowers accessories instead. They are just so cute. You will make 2 of each design for a total of 8 cards. Oh and one of my customers slipped and told me that at Archiver's their classes are $25. But don't worry, I am not changing my prices for these classes. $10 is a nice even number and I am sticking to it...for now.
Remember that if you want to do my projects but don't live nearby. I am happy to ship thing to you so you can do it on your own. Not as much fun and a bit more $ for shipping, but you do get some great pages done.
